These terms apply to the Cofify iPhone app and this website. By using Cofify you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Cofify.
Who we are

The service
Cofify is a guide to specialty coffee in Amsterdam. It is free. You can browse without an account; to save venues and to send reports or photos you need one.
Facts can change
We check venue facts, such as prices, opening hours, laptop rules and the beans on sale. Where Cofify shows a date, that is when we checked. Cafés change things without telling us, so a fact can be out of date. We do not guarantee that everything is correct or complete. If something is wrong, please report it in the app.
Editorial independence
No café or brand can pay to be included in Cofify, to be ranked higher, or to get a verdict from us. If we ever show a paid placement, such as a banner, it will be clearly labelled as paid and kept apart from the guide itself.
Your account
- You must be 16 or older to create an account.
- You sign in with Apple or Google. Keep access to that account safe; what happens in your Cofify account is your responsibility.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app, under Profile → Delete account.
- We may suspend or delete an account that breaks these terms, for example by sending abusive or unlawful content, or by misusing the service. Where we can, we will tell you why first.
Reports and photos you send
When you send a report or a photo, you agree that:
- Your reports are honest and to the point, and contain nothing unlawful, insulting or misleading.
- You send only photos you took yourself, and you have the consent of any person who can be recognised in them.
- We decide what to publish. A report or photo does not change the guide until we have checked it.
You keep the copyright in your photos. By sending a photo, you give Cofify a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store it, to resize it and to show it on venue pages in the app and on our website, for as long as it is published. We show approved photos without your name. If you want a photo removed, write to hello@cofify.app and we will take it down. A photo still waiting for review you can withdraw yourself in the app.
Using Cofify fairly
Do not try to break, overload or get around the security of Cofify, and do not copy the guide in bulk. The guide’s text, selection and photos belong to Cofify or to the people who licensed them to us.
Liability
Cofify is provided as it is. As far as Dutch law allows, we are not liable for damage resulting from using Cofify, from facts that turned out to be wrong, or from the service being unavailable. This does not limit liability for intent or gross negligence, or any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded.
Privacy
The privacy policy explains what we do with your personal data.
Law and disputes
Dutch law applies to these terms. If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of that country. Disputes go to the courts of Amsterdam. This does not take away your right as a consumer to go to the courts where you live. Please write to us first; most things can be sorted out by email.
Changes
We may change these terms, for example when Cofify gains new features. We publish the new version here with a new date. If a change matters to you, we will tell you in the app or by email before it applies. If you do not agree, you can stop using Cofify and delete your account.
